The Twintec AG (WKN A0LSAT), a leading provider of products for exhaust aftertreatment, looks through the current debate to emission levels in the automotive sector a positive impact on innovative technologies in this field. For years, the requirements for emission reduction of vehicles and machines have exacerbated international. The technologies currently used for the reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) usually require high exhaust temperatures, which are not achieved in real operation. Thus, the real nitrogen oxide emissions are often by a factor of 8 to 40 as is practicable in the limits higher. Twintec has therefore initiated the development of a new SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology several years ago and this brought to the market. The developed BNOx system for reduction of nitrogen oxides even at low working temperatures. In Europe (Off Road) from 2017 and 2018 will be the introduction of the exhaust standards Euro 6c (On Road) and Stage V required new testing procedures that check the nitrogen emissions under real operating conditions, which is precisely the function of the exhaust after-treatment in low temperature range of special importance.
Since virtually all diesel engine manufacturers have the problem of efficient exhaust aftertreatment at low temperatures, Twintec also sees a positive impact on the marketing of its own SCR technology because of the current discussions in the context of the forthcoming stringent testing procedures. This applies not only in Europe but also in numerous other countries. The BNOx technology Twintec can be installed both in the retrofit, as well as the initial.
