CA Technologies is involved in training future scientists and … – FinanzNachrichten.de

Zurich-Kloten – CA Technologies is participating in a research project called BigStorage. The project aims to give young scientists the opportunity to expand their technical and transversal competences within a pioneering research environment.

The commitment of CA for this project is consistent with the recently announced Create Tomorrow program. The CA employees in the region help different initiatives, whose aim is to close the MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology) -interruptions in Europe.

CA supports the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs of European Union. The role of the company in BigStorage project helps to shape the next generation of IT leaders who are enormously important for the Application Economy. The European Commission predicts a shortfall of 900,000 ICT professionals in Europe until 2020.

BigStorage research project is part of the Marie Sklodowska Curie program, which is funded by the European Commission and since Madrid coordinated by the Universidad Politécnica. The project involves 15 doctoral students with different technology and science degrees from universities around the world participate. In addition to technical training, the companies and institutions participate together with CA on a project that supports the students in their personal development. So their social skills are strengthened and out and improve their employability in the labor market.
