The cooperation network Fish. Innovation. Technology. (FIT) combines technology-oriented companies and processing enterprises of the fish industry with innovation experts to strengthen the innovative capacity and competitiveness.

Bremerhaven, June 2015. Fish processing plants are currently facing many challenges. Shorter product life cycles, more hygiene and legislation, as well as high quality standards intensify cost pressure. Energy and resource efficiency employ the company more than ever.

The new nationwide network project fish. Innovation. Technology. (FIT), coordinated by ttz Bremerhaven, is here. The aim is to connect different areas of technology wisely to improve the innovative capacity and competitiveness of each company. This begins with the exchange of ideas and leads to joint development and marketing projects.

With the help of a promotion in. Central Innovation Programme for SMEs of the Ministry of Economy and Energy, participating in the network company initially for one year support from a network manager who assists them in finding ideas, the Projektskizzierung and the application of funds.

The promotion of the network was approved in April 2015 by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy. A joint project proposal for an Innovation project has been requested by three network partners in the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs with a volume of 695,000 euros.

The ttz Bremerhaven is an independent research institute which conducts applied research and development. Under the umbrella of ttz Bremerhaven, an international team of experts is working in the areas of food, environment and health. For over 25 years it supports companies of all sizes in the planning and implementation of innovation projects and the acquisition of appropriate funding at national and European level.
