MUMBAI, India – (BUSINESS WIRE) – 05/19/2015 –
The Avantha Group Company CG along with the other consortium partners Cofely, Fabricom and lemants, have been awarded the contract for the turnkey supply and installation of a 400 MW HV-offshore transformer station for the Veja Mate Offshore Project GmbH. Design works for CG include electrical work, network compliance studies, the provision of the HV / MV power equipment, installation and commissioning. The equipment is in the 400-MW -Offshore -Umspannwerk for the Veja Mate wind farm installed, the approximately 100 kilometers is located in the North Sea off the coast of Germany. The project will be commissioned before the end of 2017.
The 400 MW Veja Mate wind farm comprises 67 wind turbines (6MW) and is connected to the German high-voltage grid on the BorWin2-converter platform. Veja Mate will produce enough electricity in order to supply more than 280,000 households and helps to reduce CO2 emissions by over 570,000 tons per year.
The project is part of the growing list of twelve offshore substations that based on the AC high voltage solutions CG. It has a total capacity of nearly 3,500 MW of offshore wind energy. The total contract value of these offshore wind projects with high-voltage transmission capacity, including Veja Mate, is around 200 million euros.
