Japan: Robots manage an entire hotel – Wirtschaftswoche

robot, people in service replace – where could this project be more demanding than in a hotel? In Sasebo in Japan the first robotic Hotel has opened.

The Hotel Henn-na, translated into German, “the strange Hotel” is almost completely run by robots. It opened on July 17 and is located in the entertainment and theme park Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan.

The main objective of the new hotel concept is to offer comfort at a low price. The operators want to spread the concept of world. The most important building blocks for cost reduction are the use of robots in the service, a standardized design and facilities as well as a low-energy concept including solar self-sufficiency
