For the first time in 14 years, two astronauts on Christmas Eve to a use on the International Space Station have dropped into space.

The Americans Mike Hopkins (pictured) and Rick Mastracchio should end the replacement of a refrigerator-sized cooling pump, said the Flugleitzentrum in Moscow.

It was only the second outdoor use on Christmas Eve in the story, said the U.S. space agency NASA. Last U.S. astronauts had worked exactly 14 years ago in space, the use of time lasted eight hours and eight minutes.
