BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins does not believe that tablets have a great future: “In five years there will be in my opinion no reason why you should have a tablet,” citing the news agency Bloomberg in an interview with Heins. Maybe you have then a large (touch) screen at work, but not a classic tablet, says BlackBerry head. He saw no business model for tablets.

BlackBerry, formerly Research in Motion (RIM) has brought to 10 with the Z10 and the Q10 recently two new smartphones with the new mobile operating system BlackBerry on the market. The Z10 is a classic touch screen device that has Q10 in the old tradition BlackBerry a physical keyboard. Especially with the latter device Heins wants to convince loud BlackBerry over 70 million users of older BlackBerry phones. (odi)
