The fourth meeting of the APEC Partnership for Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) was opened in Beijing on Wednesday. The hundred or so experts from government, industry and academia to discuss here until Friday of the possibilities for practical cooperation in environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development in the 21 members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
