The US chipmaker Qualcomm and the Japanese technology group TDK establish a multibillion dollar joint venture for the production of high-frequency chips, which are mainly used in smart phones. On the approximately three billion euro joint venture RF 360 Holdings Qualcomm will hold 51 percent, TDK, through its German subsidiary Epcos 49 percent.
