SOLARWATT presents battery storage with DC technology for … – SolarServer

The SOLARWATT GmbH (Dresden) is within the framework of the Intersolar Europe in Munich (June 10 to 12) a new battery before storage, to make clear the economic photovoltaic systems.

The energy storage system based on lithium-ion technology with completely new types of power electronics and is the current saving in all areas to consider, according to the press release. The solar power memory “MyReserve” is available in the following capacities: 4.4 kWh; 6.6 kWh; 8.8 kWh; 11 kWh.

“A powerful and cost-effective battery system is one of the most important prerequisites for a successful energy turnaround – without electricity storage, there will be no change of power generation to renewable energy. Our system sets new standards in this field and ensures that the consumption of self-generated solar energy finally is cheap and effective, “says Detlef Neuhaus, CEO of SOLARWATT GmbH.

“The system is much cheaper than comparable battery storage,” added the commercial director of SOLARWATT, Carsten Bovenschen.

DC technology reduces conversion losses in the system

“MyReserve” will directly connected between the photovoltaic system and PV inverter to the DC circuit (DC) and is simultaneously compatible with conventional photovoltaic inverters without being communicatively coupled to this. Because of the optimally tuned DC technology come at a much lower conversion losses in the system. The current memory so reach an extremely high round-trip efficiency of 93 percent.

Through the use of lightweight materials and due to the high energy density of the battery cells, weighs no component more than 25 kilograms – the power storage can thus be mounted by a single installer, emphasizes the provider.

Extension up to a storage capacity of 11 kWh possible

The modular design enables the memory beyond a simple Plug & amp; Play expansion by additional battery packs (each 2.2 kWh) up to a storage capacity of 11 kWh.

“The system can easily be adapted to new lifestyles and are optimally dimensioned for every need – whether for domestic use or for small businesses,” said Neuhaus.

The SOLARWATT battery memory “MyReserve” this corresponds to the highest safety requirements: It has been tested according to the new safety guidelines for Li-Ion home storage, corresponds to the standard DIN EN 62619 and is for transport to Directive UN38.3 certified for lithium-ion batteries.

In addition, “MyReserve” received the seal of the accredited test laboratory Cetecom.

“installers and end customers thus have a confirmation that the safety of the complete battery system is absolutely guaranteed – which is unfortunately not on the market, of course,” said Neuhaus.

The SOLARWATT GmbH shows the storage system “MyReserve” during the Intersolar Europe (10 to 12 June 2015) as part of the “EES” (Electrical Energy Storage) at booth B1.510 ,
