Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two Interactive called Oculus Rift as an antisocial technology.
The VR goggles Oculus Rift is an antisocial technology. At least that Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
Zelnick cherishes principle no dislike Oculus Rift. For the so-called core gamers, the VR glasses can even be a wonderful experience in his opinion. However, it is the social aspect of this technology tend to be skeptical.“It’s obviously great. Our people have tried it and loved. I think for a core gamers it can be a wonderful experience. For someone who really wants to immerse themselves. But a lot of people who use video games – such as, for example, my children – sit next to their friends and play together. For this reason, it is not really appeal to this technology. So I think it is more of a core technology. (…)
It is an antisocial technology. But we will support them as long as it works with our games. “
So far, Take-Two, however, nor for any Senier games announced an official Oculus Rift support. Maybe this will change in the near future.
