Lytro, Inc. opened its first Lytro Studio in the center of Tokyo. The world’s first studio experience of this kind offers visitors the chance to try out light field technology itself.
In Studio Lytro will get lots of interactive exhibits so-called “Living Pictures” and 3D images instead. They were created with the second generation of the Lytro platform, the Lytro ILLUM, a software-defined light field camera, as well as the powerful Lytro desktop software.
Both professional photographers as well creative professionals and all other visitors may collect your desktop hands-on experience with Lytro ILLUM and Lytro. The light field technology allows users to edit various formats, including 3D Living Pictures taken with a single exposure. Here, iris, focus, passion, perspective, depth of field and animations in 2D and 3D can be adapted.
“Our Lytro Studio we have created a space where visitors the possibilities of light field technology can try for yourself, “said Jason Rosenthal, CEO of Lytro. “Tokyo and with its innovative and active photography scene to illustrate the ideal city for our club, and the interface between technology and images.”
The Lytro studio is located in Nichihata Bldg., 2-32-3 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo. Impressions can be found here: https://pictures.lytro.com/LytroStudio/albums/177800
