Hannover/Detroit,USA(ots)-Theintroductionofalithiumtitanatebattery12VoltextendedJohnsonControls,aglobalindustrialcompany,itstechnologyportfolioforcarbatteries.ThelatesttechnologythecompanyhasbeendevelopedincollaborationwithToshibaandisintendedtosupplyenergytovehicleswithadvancedstart-stopsystem.

Anadvancedstart-stopsystemcomeswithtwobatteries.A12-voltAGM(AbsorbentGlassMat)batteryorEFB(EnhancedFloodedBattery)startstheengineandsuppliestheelectricalconsumerswithelectricity.The12-voltlithium-titanatebatteryisusedprimarilyforreceivingandstoringtheregenerativebrakingenergy,ithasalargerstoragecapacityofthebrakingenergyandamoreefficientloadmanagementintheelectricalsystem.
